Gldani College hosted the Association of Colleges & Institutes Canada (CICan)

Today, LEPL College “Gldani Vocational Education and Training Center" hosted the representatives of the Association of Colleges & Institutes Canada (CICan) led by Vice President Alain Roy. The Association has implemented educational activity in the sphere of vocational and higher education since 1972.

The purpose of mentioned meeting was to introduce the system of vocational education in Georgia. The conversation was about the development of Mechatronics and Industrial Automation’s programes, dual study programes, retraining of teachers, etc. Representatives of the company got acquainted with the current news of vocational education, procedures of professional testing and enrollment and regulations how to obtain financing. They studied the institution’s profile, the learning process, educational programs and viewed the material and technical base of college, auditoriums and workshops. The parties took the initiative to organize such meetings and to continue cooperation.

Masterclass with Armenian colleagues

The delegation of LEPL College-"Gldani Vocational Education and Training Center" with administration staff, teachers and students participated in annual educational events in the Republic of Armenia, Yerevan in 2016, 2-5 June. The college was invited by Mkhitar Sebastatsi Educational Complex.

During the visit parties exchanged the information about current news in the field of vocational education and Georgian teachers and students conducted several interesting masterclass and represented their work and products to Armenian colleagues. Videos created by Georgian students about the vocational education programs and learning process of the -"Gldani Vocational Education and Training Center" were shown.

Hosts (Director Mr. Ashot Blian) introduced us the profile of Mkhitar Sebastatsi Educational Complex, learning process, vocational programs, material-technical base, auditoriums and workshops and current tendencies in the sphere of vocational education in Yerevan. Educational complex is consisted of several schools, vocational colleges and kindergartens.

LEPL College-"Gldani Vocational Education and Training Center" always promotes educational and entrepreneurial collaboration in vocational education, also supports international cooperation and exchange of vocational students and teachers with relevant foreign educational institutions.

Recently, on May 15, colleges from Instanbul Municipal school visited our college. During the visit, interesting and meaningful cultural-educational and informational events were held with the students of public schools of Gldani.

Guests from Germany, Representatives of “Lucas-Nuelle”

On July 31, LEPL College “Gldani Vocational Education and Training Center" hosted the guests from Germany, representatives of the company “Lucas-Nuelle”, Mr. Heinz Kepler and Mr. Vladimir Kosin. The guests handed the new software over to college and saw the educational stands and equipment. “Lucas-Nuelle” has been cooperating with LEPL College “Gldani Vocational Education and Training Center" since 2012 and is one of its foreign partners. This German company implemented German technologies in the sphere of vehicle diagnostics and electrodiagnosis in our center. The parties agreed on future collaboration.

Memorandum of Cooperation Signed with Robert Bosch

LEPL - College "Gldani Vocational Education and Training Center" and the company "Robert Bosch" signed the first memorandum of cooperation for the development of vocational education. The memorandum was signed by Nodar Kharazishvili, Acting Director of the College, and Nino Pruidze, Commercial Director of Robert Bosch Company in the Caucasus Region. The Partnership Agreement aims to promote the development of vocational education, construction and industrial use of advanced technologies and equipment, and the establishment of a long-term partnership between Robert Tbosch and the College to improve the quality of vocational education in the field of power tools.

Robert Bosch will advise college teachers, provide them with training materials, power tools, and equipment, that assist the college in integrating the materials into the learning process, and assist the college in arranging hands-on practical instrument classes, equipping workshops with state-of-the-art equipment, and the most important, successful graduates will receive the Robert Bosch International Certificate. The company "Robert Bosch" successfully implements similar projects in different European countries. In Georgia, Gldani Vocational Educationd and Training Center was not randomly selected for this purpose.

From the day of its opening, the college promotes the dissemination of modern knowledge and methods in vocational education, attracts new companies, develops a modern material and technical base, creates vocational education programs and training courses tailored to the requirements of modern business and theoretical and practical skills. Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and Robert Bosch Company in May 2014.

Gifts of the Medical Foundation "Hippocrates" to students

On April 15, LEPL College “Gldani Vocational Education and Training Center" was visited by Hippocrates Medical Foundation and Mr. John Post, Representative of the US Department of State for Humanitarian Projects in Asia and Europe, as well as representatives of the Professional Development Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.

As part of the humanitarian project, the foundation donated a sewing and school kit to the students. “Hellenicare’s” Hippocrates Greek Medical Foundation was established in Georgia in 1998 and carries out medical, humanitarian as well as small reconstruction projects. Within the framework of the project, a mobile group of doctors walks in the mountainous regions of Georgia, in the villages of Shida Kartli, in the border zone and provides free medical services to the rural population, regardless of religion or national origin.

In addition, within the framework of the humanitarian project, the Foundation distributes various humanitarian cargo in social facilities. The guests got acquainted with the educational process in the college, student works and self-creation, as well as current projects and future development plans. According to the representatives of the Hippocrates Foundation, their cooperation with the college will definitely continue in the future.
